Ett forskningsprojekt som undersöker varför internationella riskreduceringsprogram får liten effekt i utvecklingsländer. Fokus ligger på Stilla havs-regionen och Karibien. Projektet har studerat riskuppfattning som den uttrycks i konst, musik, poesi och dans. Projektet är på engelska.
The main aim of this project is to understand how the international
community can effectively promote resilience through disaster risk reduction programmes in developing states. This objective is to answer the question: what can explain the limited influence of international Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) programmes in local settings? An answer offered in this study is to encourage the international community to increase their awareness of specific worldviews that constitute local risk perceptions.
